Painters Care: Your DIY Painting Solution

Which sprayer to buy, what paint goes over what, and how to get a finish that lasts. Guides for people doing the work themselves, whether that is one room or a whole house.

Hi, I’m Mubs

I took over Painters Care in 2021. The guides here were written by painters and decorators in the US. I commission them, edit them and keep them up to date. I’m not a decorator by trade.

I’ve done plenty of my own, though: stripped wallpaper, pulled down ceiling panels, sanded walls flat after plastering, painted more rooms than I can count. So what you read here either came from someone who does this for a living, or from a job I have done myself.

Follow the renovation

I’ve just taken on a house that needs the lot doing to it. The chimney breast is coming out, the bathroom is going, and every room is being stripped back. Builders and decorators are doing most of the work, and I’m checking what this site says against what they actually do.

Day one photos of every room are up now, and each job lands with what it cost me.
